On Feb. 24, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine, starting a full-scale war. But we want to talk about the present and the future, decolonisation, reconstruction, cross-border and transdisciplinary collaborations, decentralisation, hybridity, horizontal flows of power and ideas… For many of us, spending this time together is a good and constructive experience that gives hope for moving beyond difficult memories, for others, it is an opportunity for acts of solidarity, support, and testimony that we remember and stay together. For all of us, let it be a booster for life, a creative and magic event linking contradictions and the fragmented world.The Stream Art Network (previously called European Stream Art Network (ESNW)) originates from the activities of UKRAiNATV, a media phenomenon based at StreamArtStudio in Krakow, which is also celebrating its third anniversary at that time. In the shadow of war, in the fire of war, amid growing crises, ideas and new collaborative practices emerge. ✨ Ceramic Beats is a self-maintained studio and creative hub in Kyiv’s historic centre, founded by artists who stood up in defence of Ukraine from the very first days of the full-scale invasion.
Over the years, Kèramík has become a space of strength and inspiration, where unique projects and events merge local traditions with innovation in audio, visual arts, and experimental creation.
We were hosting and curating projects like: Pererva Studio, Reframe_tv, Drones for Drones, countless intimate thematic gatherings of artists, musicians, educators, and communities
🔥 But then disaster struck… A spark from the wood heater while resident artists were outside… and in just 10 minutes, the fire destroyed everything – the entire studio and all its equipment.
💔 Residents, who were preparing an exhibition on the day of fire, suffered minor burns while trying to save what they could…
🔥 Our losses are more then €18,000, including:
